What is Thrivent Choice?
Thrivent Choice is a charitable grant program of Thrivent Financial. Giving back has always been important to Thrivent and its members. Thrivent has provided more than $174 million to help congregations, educational institutions and other nonprofit organizations through the Thrivent Choice® charitable grant program since its 2010 introduction. The Thrivent Choice program gives eligible benefit members an opportunity to recommend where Thrivent distributes some of its charitable outreach funds each year.

Thrivent Action Teams
What are Thrivent Action Teams?
Thrivent Action Teams encourage people to support an event or cause by living generously in their community. Maybe you want to raise money to help remodel a building space at camp. You could but together an Action Team by using the $250 to advertise and buy supplies for the specific fundraiser, like a bake sale. Volunteers would provide the treats and work at the event. The community would purchase the goodies with proceeds going towards camper fees. Another option might be to use the Action Team funds to purchase First Aid supplies for the summer. Volunteers would shop for the supplies and assemble the First Aid kits.
What have Action Teams accomplished at camp in the past?
Action Teams have been used for food for volunteers on Work Project Saturdays, Family Camp service project of planting plants, postage for advertising for the annual spaghetti dinner,
How do I set up an Action Team?
We suggest that you plan your Action Team with a Luther Park staff member. We have the most current list of needs but would also love to talk through your ideas, so bring them! We also have a some suggestions of Action Team ideas here.
Once the project is planned out with a Luther Park staff member, go to thrivent.com to apply for a Thrivent Action Team grant. Once your application has been approved, Thrivent will send you a box of promotional supplies, volunteer t-shirts, and a $250 credit card to purchase supplies for the project. Gather your volunteers and complete the project. Lastly, when the project is done you report back to Thrivent on the success of your project.
Thrivent members can apply to lead two Action Teams per year, while associate members can apply once per year.
