Luther Park Summer Staff Opportunities
The ministry of Luther Park depends on our summer staff. We need responsible and motivated individuals who are excited about working with children, youth, families and their leaders. Good staff combine maturity, creativity, flexibility, and an interest in ministry with a servant attitude and a well-articulated faith in Jesus Christ. Spending a summer on camp staff is a life changing opportunity that will never be forgotten!

Positions Available for 2021
Program Manager for Weekday Camps
Responsible for implementing the summer program during the week that supports and furthers the mission of Luther Park. Assists the Associate Director in supervising and overseeing the summer staff. Runs daily staff meetings, helps carry out schedule and provides assistance to counselors as needed. Serves as a resource to counselors for encouragement, support, and spiritual growth. Maintains communication with staff, campers and/or retreat groups, leading programs as necessary. Provides the best hospitality for retreat groups. Follows all COVID-19 Protocols. Assumes final authority regarding all off-site decisions. When on site as support staff, assists the Associate Director to provide organization and leadership for the camp programs. Prerequisites: one or more years camp experience; and prefer at least 21 years of age. Reports to the Associate Director.

Responsible for implementing a summer program for families during the weekends that supports and furthers the mission of Luther Park. Assists the Associate Director in supervising summer staff. Over sees all programs, the daily schedule, and helps carry out activities for Camp Getaway for Families. Serves as a resource to supporting staff for encouragement, support, and spiritual growth. Maintains communication with staff and families, leading programs as necessary. Works closely with the kitchen to help meals go smoothly. Follows all COVID-19 Protocols. Assumes final authority regarding all off-site decisions. Prerequisites: one or more years camp experience; and prefer at least 21 years of age. Reports to the Associate Director.
Program Manager for Camp @ Home
Responsible for implementing a summer program for the Camp @ Home program that supports and furthers the mission of Luther Park. Communicates with the families before, during and after the program sessions. Supervises any supporting staff of program. Oversees all virtual camp sessions, the camp @ home website, and all program activities. Records and posts videos that keep families connected to camp. Assists the Associate Director in planning, preparing and teaching the program. Assumes final authority regarding all off-site decisions. Follows all COVID-19 Protocols. Prerequisites: one or more years camp experience; and prefer at least 21 years of age. Reports to the Associate Director.
Head Lifeguard & Support Staff
Responsible for arranging and supervising all waterfront activities by administering swim tests, conducting drills, lifeguarding, and maintaining waterfront facilities and equipment. When not at the waterfront, must be present and available as a support staff. May be asked to work with the kitchen/dining hall protocols, COVID-19 protocols, and other program or site needs. Follows all COVID-19 Protocols. Prerequisites: Lifeguard certification, prefer at least 21 years of age; knowledge of canoeing, paddle boarding, and/or kayaks. Reports to the Associate Director.
Counselor
Responsible for leading, befriending, and supervising a cabin of 6 campers or a retreat group. Provides the best hospitality to all retreat groups. Ages of campers range from 7-18, depending on the week. Leads Bible studies, recreation and games, campfires, and worship services. Follows all COVID-19 protocols. Prerequisites: energy; creativity; caring; and at least 18 years of age. Reports to the Program Managers and/or Associate Director.
