Cook & Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher Job Information
For Summer 2025, Luther Park is looking for some extra assistance to make the summer season go smoothly! All positions are currently seasonal. Please see the job descriptions below for more details.
Part-Time Summer Cook
RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Executive Director & works closely with the Head Cook & Associate Director.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in culinary environments; Effective communicator; Punctuality; 18+.
POSITION SUMMARY: Assist Head Cook and/or cook on own for groups ranging from 6-50.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists Head Cook by cooking as needed (weekdays or weekends); Assists Head Cook by prepping as needed; Maintain a kitchen that meets all codes; Works closely with the Kitchen Assistants and gives them appropriate jobs; Ensure that kitchen is clean at the end of each day; and possible other responsibilities.
JOB DATES: Tentatively June 1 - August 2, with other possible dates in August.
COMPENSATION: Salary $18.00-$20.00/hour; 10-30 hours/week – dependent on camp schedules

POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Head Cook with prepping and cleaning up meals and runs the dishwaser.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow directions of the Head Cook/Cook; Follow all kitchen codes/regulations; Wash dishes and run through dishwasher after meals; wipe down tables and counter spaces; Assist in prepping meals; Check cleaning buckets for daily cabin cleaning; Assist in cleaning the Lodge building (including bathrooms); and possible other responsibilities.
JOB DATES: June 12 - July 30 (with possible opportunities to work a few events/groups in August).
COMPENSATION: Salary $11.00/hour; 20-40 hours/week – dependent on camp schedules.
