The ministry of Luther Park depends on our summer staff. We need responsible and motivated individuals who are excited about working with children, youth, families and their leaders. Good staff combine maturity, creativity, flexibility, and an interest in ministry with a servant attitude and a well-articulated faith in Jesus Christ. Spending a summer on camp staff is a life changing opportunity that will never be forgotten!

Positions Available for 2025
The summer season runs from June 3 - August 1, 2025 (7.5 weeks), with some time off around the 4th of July.
Counselor (Cabin Leader)
Responsible for leading, befriending, and supervising a cabin of 8-12 campers each week. Ages of campers range from 7-18, depending on the week. Leads Bible studies, recreation and games, campfires, and worship services. Prerequisites: energy; creativity; caring; and at least 18 years of age. Reports to the Program Managers and/or Associate Director. Weekly Salary: $425
Waterfront Coordinator
Responsible for arranging and supervising all waterfront activities by administering swim tests, conducting drills, lifeguarding, and maintaining waterfront facilities and equipment. In charge of boat rides, fishing trips and other water related activities. When not at the waterfront, must be present and available as a support staff. May be asked to assist with a cabin group, lead an activity, lead and participate in worship and campfires, among other tasks. Prerequisites: Lifeguard certification, prefer at least 21 years of age; knowledge of canoeing, paddle boarding, and/or kayaks. Reports to the Associate Director. Weekly Salary: $425
Health Care Manager
Responsible for the health needs of all campers and staff. Will communicate with and transport campers to medical clinics and be always available on call. Prepares first aid kits, orders medical supplies and maintains the infirmary. Works closely with the Program Manager: Outpost and Associate Director to provide the best health-related care to campers and staff. Prerequisites: certification as R.N., L.P.N., E.M.T., Advanced First Aid Responder, or graduate nurse; prefer at least 21 years of age. Reports to Associate Director. Weekly Salary: $475
Program Manager: Mainsite
Responsible for implementing the summer program on Mainsite that supports and furthers the mission of Luther Park. Assists the Associate Director in supervising summer staff. Runs daily staff meetings, helps carry out schedule and provides assistant to counselors as needed. Serves as a resource to counselors for encouragement, support, and spiritual growth. Maintains communication with staff and campers, leading programs as necessary. Assumes final authority regarding all off-site decisions when Associate Director is not present. When on-site as support staff, assists the Associate Director to provide organization and leadership for the camp programs. Prerequisites: one or more years camp experience; and prefer at least 21 years of age. Reports to the Associate Director. Weekly Salary: $500
Program Manager: Outpost
Responsible for implementing the summer program of Outpost that supports and furthers the mission of Luther Park. Assists the Associate Director in supervising summer staff. Oversees the Treehouse Village Camp Program, Horse Camp Program, and the Canoe Camp Program. This includes setting and adapting the daily schedule, overseeing medical needs and issues and helping carry out the appropriate activities. Serves as a resource to counselors for encouragement, support, and spiritual growth. Maintains communication with staff and campers, leading programs as necessary. Assumes final authority regarding all off-site trip decisions when Associate Director is not present. Prerequisites: one or more years camp experience; prefer CPR/first aid training, first responder, lifeguard; and prefer at least 21 years of age. Reports to the Associate Director. Weekly Salary: $500
Specialty Program Leader
Responsible for assisting, leading and taking care of the specialty programs during the summer. Programs include camp getaway for families, grand camp, open house, and other programs that may arise. May be asked to lead games, plan and/or facilitate activities, help in the kitchen, turn over spaces between groups, and be a support staff to summer camp, if needed. Reports to the Associate Director. Weekly Salary: $450
Camp Assistant
Responsible for filling in multiple roles as needed. May be asked to work in the kitchen, wash dishes, clean various areas, prep for activities, do laundry, assist with a cabin, be a buddy to a camper, participate in games or worships/campfires, or be of support to camp in another way. Reports to Program Managers and/or Associate Director. Hourly salary will be determined upon qualifications.
