Cook, Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher & Housekeeper Job Information
For Summer 2025, Luther Park is looking for some extra assistance to make the summer season go smoothly! All positions are currently seasonal. Please see the job descriptions below for more details.
Full-Time Summer Head Cook
RELATIONSHIP: Reports to Executive Director, works closely with Associate Director & oversees the other cooks.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in culinary environments; Effective communicator; Punctuality; 18+.
POSITION SUMMARY: Plan, prepare, and cook for groups ranging from 10-50.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare meals and cook as needed (weekdays or weekends); Maintain a kitchen that meets all codes; Track inventory and place wholesale orders or grocery shop as necessary; Oversee the other cooks to ensure an efficient working environment; Accommodate to food allergies/restrictions; Assist the Executive Director in scheduling; Work closely with the Kitchen Assistants and gives them appropriate jobs; Ensure that kitchen is clean at the end of each day; and possible other responsibilities.
JOB DATES: Tentatively June 1 - August 10, with other possible dates in late August.
COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary $20.00-$22.00/hour; 30-40 hours/week – dependent on camp schedules

POSITION SUMMARY: Assists the Head Cook with prepping and cleaning up meals and runs the dishwasher.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Follow directions of the Head Cook/Cook; Follow all kitchen codes/regulations; Wash dishes and run through dishwasher after meals; Wipe down tables and counter spaces; Assist in prepping meals; Check cleaning buckets for daily cabin cleaning; Assist in cleaning the Lodge building (including bathrooms); and possible other responsibilities.
JOB DATES: June 12 - July 30 (with possible opportunities to work a few events/groups in August).
COMPENSATION: Salary $11.00/hour; 20-40 hours/week – dependent on camp schedules.

POSITION SUMMARY: Clean and prepare retreat spaces for incoming groups.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare Retreat Spaces by cleaning bathrooms, washing laundry, re-making beds, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning kitchens, etc.

COMPENSATION: Competitive Salary $18.00-$20.00/hour; 5-15 hours/week – dependent on camp schedules.
